PROF. MARK CHUKWUDI OKEJI


Prof. Mark Chukwudi Okeji graduated from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka with B.Sc (Hons) Radiography. He went ahead to obtain M.Sc and PhD in Radiography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was the first to obtain a PhD in Radiography from any department in Nigeria and indeed West Africa. Prior to joining University of Nigeria as a Lecturer in 2006, he had worked as a clinical Radiographer at National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu where he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Radiographer. Before being appointed the Registrar/CEO of Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN), he was the; • Associate Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, • Senior Lecturer in Department of Radiography and Radiological Sciences, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, • Immediate Past President, The Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN), • Past Vice-President, Pan African Congress of Radiology and Imaging (PACORI), 2015-2017 • President Africa Radiography Forum. Prof. Okeji had in the past served diligently as the National Secretary and Vice President 2 of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN). He was a member of the following Governing Boards, Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, University of Nigeria College of Medicine Board and University of Nigeria Postgraduate Board. He is a member of over fifteen University Committees among which are: University Committee on Foreign Students, University of Nigeria Calendar Editorial Board and Chairman Transport Committee University of Nigeria Enugu Campus. He has published over forty Journal articles in reputable International and National Scholarly Journals and had been honoured twice as the best academic staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology of University of Nigeria. Prof. Okeji has helped in the strengthening/establishment of radiography programs in Nigerian universities namely; Nnamdi Azikiwe University, University of Maiduguri, Bayero University, Kano and Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto where he had held Visiting Senior Lecturer positions in the past. He is a member of many National and International professional Associations including, ARN, ISRRT, PACORI, ARF. Prof. Okeji is a devout Catholic and a member of the Knight of St. John International (KSJI). He is married to beautiful Barr. (Mrs) Uzoamaka Okeji and the marriage is blessed with four children.
Has published over forty Journal articles in reputable International and National Scholarly Journals, is a member of over fifteen University Committees and also a Member of the following professional Associations ARN, ISRRT, PACORI, ARF Dr. Okeji has helped in the strengthening/establishment of radiography programs in over 5 Nigerian universities

ONYEKELU, CHRISTIAN ONYEKA

Head, Centre for Research & Training in Radiography, Medical Imaging & Radiation Services (CERT-RADMIRS)


Onyekelu Christian Onyeka is a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka. He has worked at the following health institutions: University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar; Berean Radiological Centre, Enugu; Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Belize City, Belize, Central America; University Of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu. At Belize, he worked as Nigerian Technical Aid Volunteer in-charge of Radiological Services in Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Belize City. At the University Of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu, he rose to the rank of Chief Medical Imaging Scientist. He has vast clinical experience in various aspect of Radiography practice and has attended some many conferences, workshops, seminars and training programs. He is a member of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) and a registered radiographer with Health Professions Council, London. His love for the profession made him to join the board (RRBN) as an Assistant Director (Radiography). Head, Centre for research and training in Radiography, Medical Imaging and Radiation services. He is happily married with 4 children. His extra-curricular activities include Footballing, Reading and Browsing the Internet
He has vast clinical experience in various aspect of Radiography practice including, but not limited to the following areas; General Radiography; Special Procedures; Mammography; Angiography; CT Scan; Ultrasonography; MRI. He has attended many conferences, workshops, seminars and training programs. He is a licenced Radiographer

OPALEYE GANIYU OLALERE

(Assistant Director, Head, Administration)


Mr. Opaleye hails from Ado-Odo in Ado-odo/Ota LG, Ogun State. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics & Education (2nd Class Upper) in 1996 from Delta State University, Abraka. A 1999 Post Graduate Diploma graduate of Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos. Mr. Opaleye also possesses an MBA (HRM) from National Open University, Nigeria. Worked at various times as a teacher, Mr. Opaleye joined the services of the Board in December, 1999 as its substantive Administrative Officer (1999 – 2005). Head, Personnel & Pension (2005 – 2012), had a brief stint as the substantive Administrative Officer of the Institute of Radiography, training arm of the Board (March 2012), Head Kano Zonal Office (2nd April – 1st August, 2012). As an educationist and administrator of many years of experience, his elevation to the post of Head Administration on the 2nd of August, 2012 is to say the least an appointment well deserved. A member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, he possesses great skills in Personnel Management and Pension Administration. Apart from the fact that he exudes confidence and intelligence in the discharge of his duties, he is simple and humble. Mr. Opaleye is a man full of energy and an embodiment of character and competence; he is a man of dodged courage, vision and discipline. Mr. Opaleye is hardworking and enterprising. He is happily married with children.

MR. ONWUEGBUCHI EBERE

Head (Inspection and Monitoring)


ONWUEGBUCHU, EBERE OBINNA (Mr) hails from Ezeoke Nsu in Ehime-Mbano LGA of Imo State. He holds B.Sc. Degree in Medical Radiography (1998) from University of Calabar, Diploma in Food Technology (1992) from Federal Polytechnic Owerri, and PGD Management Studies from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He also holds Diploma in Project Management (2013) – Federal Information Resource Centre and PGCCT (2017) from Nigerian Institute of Radiography. He is pursuing his interest in law (LLB). He has versed working experience in radiography and administration having at various times served as Office Manager with Marshal International Contractors Ltd Apapa Lagos, Senior Medical Radiographer with EKO Hospital Ltd Ikeja Lagos, Senior Medical Radiographer with Lagoon Hospital Apapa Lagos and Senior Medical Radiographer with Havana Specialist Hospital Surulere Lagos. He Joined Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) in January 2006 and having worked briefly in the Registration and Monitoring Department, the management on identification of his immense managerial skill posted him to Administration Department in 2007 and would later made him the Head of Administration in the same year based on his outstanding performance. He also served as Special Assistant to the Registrar/Chief Executive. He was in 2010 posted to the Inspection & Monitoring Department. In 2013 he was transferred to Port Harcourt Zonal Office (covering South-South Nigeria) as the Pioneer Head of the Port Harcourt Zone. In 2017 he was transferred to Abuja as Head of Inspection and Monitoring Department. Onwuegbuchu E.O. is married with children. His hobbies include reading, writing, travelling, playing football and tennis.

Mr EJIMOFOR MALACHY CHUKWUDI

(HEAD INSTITUTE)


Mr Ejimofor Malachy Chukwudi hails from Obeagu, Awgu LGA, Enugu State. He graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a bachelor of science degree honours (second class upper division) in medical radiography and radiological sciences in 2002. Mr Ejimofor worked as a medical radiographer in several hospitals including Jos University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State; General Hospital Potiskum, Yobe State; New Hope Hospital ltd, Onitsha, Anambra State; Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State and Manager Solution Scan Centre ltd, Onitsha, Anambra State. He had already created a niche in the field of ultrasonography with a league of medical doctors who believed so much in the accuracy of his ultrasound reports before joining the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria in January 2012. While in the Board, he worked as the Head of Liaison Office, Abuja (2012 - 2013), Co-ordinator Institute and Monitoring Departments (2013 - 2014) and Head Nigerian Institute of Radiographers. He has undergone post graduate trainings in various areas of medical imaging and radiological sciences including post graduate certificate in CT scan, post graduate diploma in Echocardiography, post graduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound and Master of Science degree in Radiation and Medical Physics. He is a certified radiation safety officer (RSO) and also a trained mentor by West African Health Organisation (WAHO) for WAHO graduate internship scheme aimed at skill and technology transfer in the West African sub-region. Mr Ejimofor is a member of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) and had attended scientific conferences, leadership and management seminars and workshop as well as customer care trainings. He is blessed with wife and children.

MRS RAMOS FAWZIYYAH BOLAJI

(Head, Registration)


Hails from Lagos State, she holds a B.sc. Radiography - (Conversion Course by Queen Margret University London, 2010), Postgraduate Diploma in Radiation Protection from University of Ibadan 2008, Postgraduate Diploma in Economics 2002, Professional Diploma in Radiography (1996-2001) and National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Statistics Yaba College (1993-1998), She has also obtained Postgraduate Certificate in Computed Tomography from Institute of Radiography, 2007 as well as Professional Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from University of Washington in 2017. She is currently pursuing an M.sc in Radiological Health Administration and Management, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Mrs Ramos joined Radiographers’ Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) as a staff in the Registration and Monitoring Department in 2005. In July 2011, she became the Head of Department (Registration) with responsibilities to ensure registration and licensing of Radiographers in Nigeria, Registration of Practices of Radiography in Hospital and Diagnosis Centres, Registration of Student Radiographers in Nigeria, issuing letters of Good Standing to Radiographers migrating to other countries. She was made Head of Professional Records and SERVICOM in 2012 saddled with task of keeping Radiographers Record in the Board and to ensure good service delivery of professional departments in the Board. From August 2014-June 2017, she was the Head, Sokoto Zonal Office, in charge of all the Board activities in Sokoto, Zamfara and Kastina and these includes monitoring of inspection of hospitals/centres. She is a registered member of the following Professional Bodies: Health Professional Council (HCPC), London with current practicing license, Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, (RRBN) with current practicing License, International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologist (ISRRT), Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) and Royal Statistical Society (RSS), London. Moreover, she has vast experience in Clinical Radiography with special interest in Mammography. Her hobbies are reading and travelling. She is happily married to her heart throb, and the marriage is blessed with children.

OLARINDE ADESOJI AKINLOYE

(Head, Finance & Accounts)


He was born in Osun State and has an OND and also Bsc in Accounting. He joined the services of the Board on 12th July, 1993 . He is an experienced Accountant with skills in Business Policy formulation, entrepreneurship, small and medium business finance, etc. He has excellent organizational and communication skills which he employs in his day to day tasks. He is a man who is not readily put off by obstacles at work. When he is not working he enjoys traveling. He is married with children.
